eAuction #10, Lot 112. Estimate: CHF 175.00
Aurelianus (270-275 AD). AE Sestertius (23 mm, 7.57 g), Rome (Roma). Obv. IMP AVRELIANVS AVG, laureate and cuirassed bust right. Rev. CONCORDIA AVG, Aurelian and Severina standing clasping hands; in field above, radiate and draped bust of Sol right. Ex. Δ. RIC V, p. 275, 80.
Very fine / good very fine.
The authors of RIC call this an As, but compared to other Sestertii and Double Sestertii of the time, it is much more likely to be a Sestertius.
