Ptolemaic kings of Egypt. Ptolemaios I Soter, as Satrap (323-305). AR Tetradrachm (26-27 mm, 15.60 g), Alexandria, Egypt. c. 310 BC.
Obv. Head of deified Alexander right, wearing elephants skin headdress.
Rev. Athena Alkidemos walking right, with spear and shield, eagle on thunderbolt at feet; monograms in fields; AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ to left.

Traces of overstriking on obverse. Beautifully toned, about extremely fine.
