Caracalla (198-217 AD). AR Denarius (18-19 mm, 3.96 g), Roma (Rome) 204 AD. Obv. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, Laureate and draped bust right. Rev. COS LVDOS SAECVL FEC, Bacchus, on left, standing right, holding cup and thyrsus; facing him, Hercules on right, standing left, holding club and lion-skin; at feet of Bacchus, left, panther. RIC IV, p. 223, 74a (R2).
Very rare. Nicely toned, about extremely fine.
