The Eastern Celts. Imitation of an AR Tetradrachm of Philip II of Macedon (24-26 mm, 14.21 g), c. 300 BC. Obv. Laureate head of Zeus right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ, Horseman riding right, holding palm-branch; between horse's legs, Λ and torch, star in lower right field. Göbl, OTA Tf. 4, 10-3; Kostial, Slg. Lanz 71, 352; Le Rider, Ph. Lightely toned. Good very fine.
