Maximianus Herculius (286-305 AD). AE Follis (26-28 mm, 10.06 g), Lugdunum (Lyons), c. 301/303 AD.
Obv. IMP MAXIMIANVS AVG, Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right.
Rev. GENIO POPVLI ROMANI, Genius standing left, modius on head, naked but for chlamys over left shoulder, right holding patera over altar, left cornucopiae; B in right field, PLC in exergue.
RIC VI Lugdunum 109b (S).
Scarce. Extremely fine and nearly fully silvered.
A pleasant specimen.
