Indo-Scythic kings of Bactria. Azilises (57-35 BC). AR Tetradrachm (28 mm, 9.47 g). Obv. BAΣIΛEΩΣ BAΣIΛEΩN MEΓAΛOΥ / AZIΛICOΥ, Azilises, holding spear, on horseback right; king wearing single streamer with forked end. Rev. City goddess standing left, holding brazier in outstretched right hand and cradling scepter and filleted palm in left arm; legend in karosthi around; monogram and to karosthi characters in fields. Mitchiner 516, Type 801q.
Lightly toned and extremely fine.
