Obv. M AVREL COMMODVS ANTONINVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Commodus right, seen from behind.
Rev. P M TR P VIII IMP V COS IIII P P, trophy with two captives seated at base; to the right, Commodus in military attire standing right, head left, extending right hand to trophy and holding spear in left.
Gnecchi 68-69, 153 and pl. 88, 6 (reverse legend misdescribed as beginning with TR P...); Dressel--; Grueber--.

Very rare. A medallion with untouched surfaces. Very fine.
