Kolonides, Peloponnesos. Under the Achaean League. AE Tetrachalkon (22 mm, 3.32 g), c. 188-146 BC.
Obv. ΣΩΔ[AMOΣ], Zeus, nude, standing left, holding Nike in right and long sceptre in left.
Rev. AXAIΩN KOΛΩNIΔH, Achaia seated left, holding wreath in right and long sceptre in left.
BMC -; Clerk -; BCD Peloponnesos 775 (this coin).
Extremely rare. Only the second example known and, with the other being in the Numismatic Museum in Athens, the only one in private hands. Glossy green patina and about very fine.
