Ainianes, Thessaly. AR Trihemidrachm (22 mm, 7.59 g), c. 80s-40s BC. Magistrate Leukidas.
Obv. Head of Athena to right wearing Attic helmet decorated with tendril, pegasus and four horse protomes.
Rev. ΑΙΝΙΑΝΩΝ ΛΕΥΚΙΔΑ, Phemios as a slinger, nude but for chlamys over his shoulder and sword in scabbard, shooting sling to right; behind, leaning against his right leg, two spears; to right, wheat ear on stalk.

Rare. Beautiful old collection toning. Good very fine.
