Valerianus I (253-260 AD). AE34 (17.35 g), Hierapolis, Phrygia. Homonoia-issue with Smyrna. Obv. AY K-ΠOV ΛIK OYA/ΛEΡIANOC, laureate and cuirassed bust to right, wearing aegis. Rev. IEΡAΠOΛEITΩN K ZMVPNEΩN NEΩKOΡΩN/OMONOVA (sic!), Serapis of Hierapolis standing to right, holding scepter and wearing kalathos, and Nemesis of Smyrna with kalathos and wheel standing to left, both sacrificing over altar. Franke/Nollé, Homonoia, 904; Lanz 160 (2015), 511 (double struck but same dies).
Very rare and interesting. Two minor flan faults on reverse, otherwise, very fine.
