Kings of Macedon. Alexander III (336-323 BC). AR Drachm (18 mm, 4.29 g), Miletos, c. 325-3. Obv. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion’s skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Zeus seated on backless throne to left, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, monogram of ΔΗ. Price 2090.
The reverse die slightly worn, otherwise, extremely fine.
