A note from BCD: This catalogue is still in the name of Louis Ciani,
nearly seven years after his premature death at the age of 35. His brother Pio
is now running the company and will become Jean Vinchon’s partner for a short
period after the War. In 1958 Vinchon will start his own sales and embark upon
building an outstanding retail and auction establishment, continued to this day
by his able daughter Françoise Berthelot-Vinchon.
