eAuction #53, Lot 161. Estimate: CHF 250.00
Severus Alexander (222-235 AD). AE Sestertius (30 mm, 20.99 g), Roma (Rome), 231. Obv. IMP SEV ALEXANDER AVG, laureate bust right, drapery on left shoulder. Rev. PROFECTIO AVGVSTI / S C, emperor on horse right, preceded by Victory holding wreath and palm. RIC 596b.
Rare and with a particularly nice reverse. Very fine.
