Traianus (98-117 AD). AE Hemidrachm (28 mm, 8.93 g), Alexandria, Egypt.
Obv. AYT TPAIAN CEB ΓEPM ΔAKIK, Laureate head right.
Rev. Trajan standing in quadriga right, holding eagle-tipped sceptre and branch; in field, LIΓ.
RPC - (for type see 4385 [drachm, date not confirmed]); Köln -; Dattari -; Milne -.

Apparently unpublished and extremely rare. About very fine.

This hemidrachm not only reveals a hitherto unknown denomination for this reverse type and year, it, too, seems to confirm the reading of the corresponding drachm RPC 4385, of which only two illegible specimens are known.
