Calabria, Tarentum. AR Diobol (12 mm, 0.99 g), c. 380-325 BC. Obv. Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with hippocamp; tiny A below chin. Rev. Herakles standing right, strangling the Nemean Lion to right; club to left, tiny K between legs of Herakles. Vlasto 1278; HN Italy 914.
Sound metal. Nicely toned and almost extremely fine.
