Augustus (27 BC-14 AD). AE As (26 mm, 9.45 g), Nemausus, c. 9/8-3 BC. Celtic imitation. Obv. IMP / DIVI F, Heads of Agrippa and Augustus back to back, the former wearing combined rostral crown and laurel wreath, the latter wearing a laurel (?) wreath. Rev. COL – NEM Crocodile to right, chained to palm-tree with long, vertical fronds; at the top of the tree, wreath with long ties. For prototype see RPC 524; RIC 158.
