Eastern Celts. Scyphat Billon Tetradrachm (28 mm, 7.99 g), late 2nd-early 1st century BC. Bartkranzavers type. Obv. Celticized head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress; all within border of dots. Rev. Celticized horseman, appearing as rosette, riding left. Lanz 572; OTA 269/1.
Slightly porous and darkly toned. Very fine.
