Obv. Kanishka standing left, sacrificing over altar to left and holding trident.
Rev. Nanaia standing right, holding sceptre; tamgha in right field.

Good very fine.

Kanishka I. is not only known for his important role in the beginnings of the Mahayana-Buddism but also for building one of the largest buildings of antiquity, the Kanishka-Stupa, reported to have been between 120 and 200 m high.
