COS V P P SPQR OPTIMO PRINC / ALIM ITAL, Traianus, togate, standing left, holding roll in left hand, extending right hand towards boy and girl to left, who stand right, the boy extends left hand up towards Traianus, the girl stretches both hands. RIC II, 93 var. (not cuirassed); Woytek 345f.

Struck to commemorate the alimenta italiae, a public support of poor Italic children introduced by Nerva and continued by Traian.
