Tarsos, Cilicia. AR Stater (24 mm, 10.53 g), c. 410-385 BC. Obv. Warrior, holding two spears in right hand, on horse galloping left; to right, bee upward. Rev. TRZ (Tarsus), hoplite wearing Corinthian helmet, kneeling right, in defensive position holding spear and shield. SNG France 211-212; Chandon 635-636; Traité -.
Rare. Die break on reverse but the dies less worn than usual. Nicely toned and good very fine.
