Caracalla (198-217 AD). AR Antoninianus (22 mm, 4.76 g), Roma (Rome), 215-217. Obv. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust to right. Rev. VENVS VICTRIX, Venus standing facing, her head turned left, holding Victory in her right hand and scepter with her left, leaning on an oval shield set on helmet. BMC 79. Cohen 608. RIC 311c.
Well struck and with a delightfully angry portrait. Good extremely fine.
