eAuction #51 - Literature sale III, Lot 11. Estimate: CHF 5.00
[Belgrade,
National Museum] Popović, Petar. “The tetradrachmas of Philip II and their
earliest imitations from the collection of the National Museum in Belgrade,” НУМИЗМАТИЧАР 3 (1980) 7-14, 5 plates. In
Serbian with English summary. Original protective printed card covers. Very
good but binding loose.
A note from BCD: As expected, Celtic (or in this case “barbarous” as
old timers would have it) imitations are reasonably close copies of the
originals in the cases where the “copying” takes place fairly near the location
of the official mint.
