eAuction #51 - Literature sale III, Lot 60. Estimate: CHF 25.00
Wallace, W.P. “A tyrant of Karystos,” C.M. Kraay & G.K. Jenkins (Eds.), Essays in Greek Coinage Presented to Stanley
Robinson, Oxford 1968, pages 201-209, plate 26. Protective light blue card
covers with ink title. Very Good. CS 2477, Daehn 3952
A note from BCD: The “swan song” of Professor Wallace, and what a
readable, persuasive and charming story it is. Although the existence of his
“tyrant” has recently been disputed, this writer is still won over by him
rather than the “opposition”.
