Lombards, Lombardy. Uncertain King. AV Tremissis (17-18 mm, 1.49 g), c. 568-690 AD. Struck in the name of Maurice Tiberius, AD 582-602. Obv. D N MAVIIC TIb P P VI, Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right. Rev. VICTORIA AVI VI TORVNVictory standing facing, head left, holding wreath and globus cruciger; cross in right field, CONOR in exergue. Arslan 4; MEC 1, 303-304.
Perfectly centered and well struck on a broad flan. Extremely fine.
This issue was struck during the reigns of Authari (AD 584-590) and his successor Agilulf (AD 590-615).
