Caracalla (197-217 AD). AE29 (15.44 g), Serdika, Thrace, 214 AD. Obv. AVT K M AVH CEVH ANTΩNEINOC, laureate head right.
Rev: OVΛΠIAC CEPΔIKHC, emperor standing right with
parazonium and spear, foot set on Parthian captive. Ruzicka p. 56, 340.
Rare. Good very fine.
The reverse refers to the Parthian campaign of Caracalla and most probably dates to the emperor's visit to Serdika in 214 AD.
