Constantius I, as Caesar (293-305 AD). AE Nummus (26 mm, 10.91 g), Lugdunum, c. 301-303 AD. Obv. CONSTANTIVS NOB C, Laureate and cuirassed
bust to left, holding scepter over his right shoulder. Rev. GENIO POPVLI ROMANI, The Genius of the Roman people, nude
but for chlamys, standing front, head to left, wearing kalathos and
sacrificing out of patera over lighted altar with his right hand and
holding cornucopiae in his left; A in right field, PLC in exergue. RIC 167a.
Scarcer bust type. About extremely fine.
