Lot of two Severan Assaria from Boura, Peloponnesos.
1. Septimius Severus (193-211 AD). AE Assarion (21 mm, 4.55 g), Boura, Peloponnesos. Obv. ΛOY CЄΠTI ΠP CЄOYPOC, laureate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind. Rev. BOUPЄATWN, Tyche standing left, holding cornucopiae and rudder. Agora 734, BCD Peloponnesos 470.1 (this coin).
2. Geta Caesar (198-209 AD). AE Assarion (21 mm, 3.98 g), Boura, Peloponnesos. Obv. ΛOY CЄΠTIMION ΓЄTAC, bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind. Rev. BOY..., Geta on horseback right, hurling spear at fallen foe. BCD Peloponnesos 470.2 (this coin); otherwise unpublished.
Both very rare and fine.
