eAuction #10, Lot 51. Estimate: CHF 450.00
Kings of Bactria. Euthydemos II. (c. 185-180 BC?). AR Tetradrachm (28 mm, 14.64 g). Obv. Diademed and draped bust right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / EYΘYΔHMOY, Herakles standing left, holding lion's skin and club in left, wreath in right. Bo. 168, série 1/5.
Cleaned, otherwise, good very fine.
Euthydemos II. may have been the son of Euthydemos I. or Demetrios I. He is only known from his coins and probably didn't rule for a long time.
