Athens, Attica. AR Tetradrachm (24-27 mm, 17.11 g), c. 454-404 BC. Obv. Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with olive leaves and a palmette. Rev. Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent; to right, AΘE. Kroll 8; Flament group II, 88/j; SNG Cop. 31.
Extremely fine. Struck from fresh dies of superb style and with an exceptionally full crest visible.
