Geta Caesar (198-209 AD). AE Assarion (21.5 mm, 4.11 g), Thouria, Messenia.�C. 195-205 AD. Obv. ..., bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind. Rev. ΘOYPIATΩN, emperor in military dress standing left, holding spear and small figure of Nike, he is crowned by Nike standing behind him. Unpublished, but cf. SNG Hunterian 380 for a similar reverse used for Septimius Severus.
Extremely rare, unpublished for Geta. Very fine.
