A note from BCD: This is the
last edition of this popular Berlin booklet that saw at least four different
luminaries writing its text since it was first issued in the early years of the
20th century. Although the text of Max Hirmer has been replaced by
the more up to date – and politically correct for the period - version of
Sabine Schultz, his photographs are still here, with that unique aura of
timelessness that characterizes them.
