eAuction #51 - Literature sale III, Lot 162. Estimate: CHF 10.00
Schulman, Jacques. Amsterdam, 9-12 March 1959.
Catalogue No. 232. Coins and Medals. 2296 lots, 54 plates. Prices realized
list. Illustrated card covers as issued, worn. Interior Very Good.
A note from BCD: This time the Greek material is labeled “An
Interesting Collection of Greek Coins including many in exceptionally fine
condition”. Although there are no “High Powered Coins” as one would say today,
there are many pleasing and collectable Greek on nearly four plates. More than
three plates of Roman complete the ancient coin display. Lot 1354 is a small
silver Melos Caprara forgery (Kinns 87) that, for better or for worse, remained
unsold estimated at 175 Dutch Guilders.
