A note from BCD: The obvious novelty here is a consignment of forty really superb Axumite coins. Greek, Roman, Roman Provincial and Byzantine are also present in large quantities. For the first time, the Sternbergs acknowledge in print the help of the people that were involved in the writing of their catalogue. Among them we find Marianne Sträuli, the delightful, charming and highly intelligent girlfriend of ASW and Mrs. Margrit Gutknecht, the wife of Hans Hermann Gutknecht whose exceptional collection of Greek autonomous bronzes was auctioned by M&M Deutschland in Stuttgart on the 4^th of October 2005. For many years Mrs. Gutknecht was handling all the book business of the firm.
