Clodius Albinus, as Caesar (under 193-196 AD). AE25 (8.30 g), Pautalia, Thrace. Obv. ΚΛΟΔ ΑΛΒΕΙΝΟC ΚΑΙ, draped and cuirassed bust to right. Rev. OΥΛΠΙΑC ΠΑΥΤΑΛΙΑC, Coiled serpent right, feeding off of altar; to left, grain ear. Ruzicka -. SNG Copenhagen -. Varbanov 2970.
Rare. Weakly struck in parts, otherwise, nearly very fine.
Pautalia was one of just three Provincial mints to issue coins in the name of Clodius Albinus, the others being Smyrna and Sardes.
