Augustus (27 BC-AD 14). AR Denarius (18 mm, 3.87 g), 11 BC, Lugdunum. Obv. AVGVSTVS DIVI F, bare head right. Rev. IMP XII across
field, ACT in exergue, Apollo Citharoedus of Actium, wearing long
drapery, standing facing, head left, holding plectrum in right hand and
lyre in left. RIC I 180; BMCRE 478.
Two minor banker's marks on cheeck, otherwise, nicely toned and very fine, the reverse better and with great details.
