Augustus (27 BC-14 AD). AR Denarius (17-18 mm, 3.62 g), Spanish mint (Colonia Caesaraugusta?), c. 19/18 BC. Obv. Head of Augustus to right, wearing oak wreath.
Rev. CAESAR / S - P / Q - R / AVGVSTVS, Round shield (clipeus virtutis) [inscribed CL.V] between two laurels. RIC 36a.
Two banker's marks on obverse. Almost very fine.
