Celtic, Central Europe. The Rauraci. AR Quinarius (12-13 mm, 1.48 g), mid 1st century BC. Obv. NINNO, Draped bust of youthful male to left (Mercury). Rev. Boar to left, NINNO (retrograde) below. LT 9355; SLM 961; DT 3278var.
Rare, beautifully toned and with a wonderful reverse. The obverse struck somewhat off centre and with an area of flatness, otherwise, extremely fine.
