Hadrianus (117-138 AD). Billon Tetradrachm (24-25 mm, 13.60 g), Egypt, Alexandria, year 10 (125/126 AD). Obv. AYT KAI TPAI AΔPIA CEB, Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust to right. Rev. LI - ς, Draped figure of Serapis, seated on high backed throne to left, holding
long scepter in his left hand and extending his right to touch Kerberos
seated facing at left; atop the throne to left, Nike standing right,
crowning Serapis. Dattari 1477; Geissen 1044; Milne 1324.
Toned and with
a good portrait. Good very fine.
