Kings of Thrace. Lysimachos (305-281 BC). AR Tetradrachm (26 mm, 16.48 g), Lampsakos, c. 297/6-282/1 BC. Obv. Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛΥΣIMAXOΥ, Athena seated to left on throne, leaning her left elbow on her shield decorated with lion’s head and holding Nike, crowning the king’s name, in her right, behind, transverse spear with point below left, HP monogram to inner left, crescent in exergue. Struck in high relief. Good very fine.
