eAuction #3, Lot 95. Estimate: CHF 100.00
Claudius (41-54 AD). AE (27-28 mm, 10.00 g), uncertain Caesarea (in Cilicia?). Obv. TIBEPIOC KΛAΥΔIOC KAICAP, bare head right. Rev. KAICAPEON ETOYC E, Tyche seated right on rock; river god at feet. RPC I, 4086.
Very fine / good fine, desert surfaces on black patina.
Find spots suggest that the uncertain Caesarea mint of this type might have been in Cilicia.
