Maximinus I. (235-238 AD). AE Sestertius (29 mm, 21.69 g), Roma (Rome), 235-236 AD. Obv. IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind. Rev. MARTI PACIFERO / S - C, Mars standing left, right foot on helmet, holding branch and leaning on spear. RIC IV, 2, p. 145, 55.
Rare reverse type. Brown patina. Very fine.
