Rev: Fame and Science on either side of Globe, above inscription reading, WORLD'S. COLUMBIAN. EXPOSITION IN. COMMEMORATION. OF. THE. FOUR. HUNDREDTH. ANNIVERSARY OF. THE. LANDING. OF. COLUMBUS. MDCCCXCII . MDCCCXCIII. TO (with separate die, inscribed: ARTHUR GRAIZELY.); the cartouche is flanked by torches to either side. Signed: AVGVSTVS SAINT GAVDENS FECIT (obv.) / C. E. BARBER FECIT (rev.).

A nice specimen of this rare iconic world medallion. Insignificant nick on edge, otherwise, good extremely and with a nice chocolate brown patina.
