Obv. + CAROLVS FERDINAN D G PRINC POLON ET SVEC, draped bust right, signatur HR 164Z at arm. Rev. OMNIS POTESTAS A DEO EST, oval coat of arms of the Vasa family and of Breslau, sceptre and crosier between, sun above; in exergue, 164Z. Cf. FB 503 (10 Dukats and oval shape)
Of the highest rarity. Very minor punch on top edge and light obverse die shift, otherwise, good very fine.
Breslau, Bistum. Karl Ferdinand von Polen (1625-1655). Octagonaler AR Doppeltaler 1642 (35-38 mm, 47.20 g), von Hans Rieger. Av. + CAROLVS FERDINAN D G PRINC POLON ET SVEC, drapierte Büste nach rechts, Signatur HR 164Z am Arm. Rev. OMNIS POTESTAS A DEO EST, die ovalen Wappenschilde von Vasa und Breslau, dazwischen Zepter und Krummstab gekreuzt, oben strahlende Sonne, unten die Jahreszahl 164Z. Cf. FB 503 (als 10-Dukat und oval)
Von allergrösster Seltenheit. Kleine Punze am Rand und unbedeutender Doppelschlag auf der Vorderseite, sonst gutes sehr schön.
