Traianus (98-117 AD). AE Diassarion (20 mm, 4.25 g), Magnetes, Thessaly. Obv. [AIAPT], laureate head right. Rev. [ΜΑΓИ] - [ΗΤѠИ], Poseidon seated left on throne, holding dolphin with his right, long trident with his left. BCD Thessaly 431.1 (this coin); Rogers 365, fig. 187 (same dies).
Very rare. Fine.
From the BCD collection, acquired for 150 DM from Professor Peter R. Franke's personal collection in May 1979. Comes with both their tickets. Ex Triton XV (2012), 431.1.
