Diocletianus (284-305 AD). AE Follis (25-27 mm, 8.10 g), Treveri (Trier), c. 298/299 AD. Obv. IMP DIOCLETIANVS P AVG, Bust left, laureate, helmeted, cuirassed, right holding spear over shoulder, left shield. Rev. GENIO POPVLI ROMANI, Genius standing left, modius on head, naked but for chlamys over left shoulder, right holding patera, left cornucopiae; B - * across fields, TR in exergue. RIC VI Treveri --.
Very rare. Minor planchet flaw at 11 o'clock on obverse, otherwise, extremely fine and nearly fully silvered.
