Severus Alexander (222-235 AD). BI Tetradrachm (25-26 mm, 15.73 g), Alexandria, Egypt. Year 7 = 227-228 AD. Obv. A KAI M AVP CЄOVHP AΛЄZANΔPOC ЄV CЄB, laureate, draped bust right, wearing paludamentum and cuirass. Rev. Draped bust of Mamea right. Geissen 2447; Dattari-Savio pl. 229, 9848 (this coin).
Very rare. Rome mint style. Minor obverse corrosion, otherwise, good very fine.
