Tarentum, Calabria. AR Nomos (18 mm, 6.12 g), c. 272-235 BC. Obv. Naked horseman right, holding shield and three spears, ΔI / AΡI - ΣTO / KΛ - HΣ. Rev. TAΡAΣ, Phalanthos riding dolphin left, holding Trident and Kantharos; female head in right field. Vlasto 98, 877; SNG ANS 1197.
Minor reverse die break. Good very fine.
Privately purchased from SKA Bern in the 1980ies.
