Panormos, Sicily. AR Tetradrachm (24-25 mm, 17.22 g), c. 340-320 BC. Obv. Charioteer driving quadriga left, holding kentron and reins; Nike flying right above, crowning charioteer; Punic 'sys' in exergue. Rev. Head of Arethusa left, wearing triple-pendant earring and necklace; surrounded by three dolphins.

Lightly toned. Reverse slightly off-centre, otherwise good very fine.
From a French collection, formed in the 1970ies and 80ies.
