Bust of Caracalla (erased), laureate, draped and cuirassed, to right, facing laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Geta to left; in Center, countermark: laureate head of Caracalla right. Rev. Hekate standing facing,head left, holding torch in left and patera in right; at feet, stag. SNG Aulock 2686 var. SNG Cop. 512. var.
Fair to fine.
On a large number of these issues, the portrait of Geta has been erased after his murder in 212. On this coin, however, the mint officials erased Caracalla's portrait in error!
