Caracalla (198-217 AD). AE Assarion (21 mm, 3.85 g), Kyparissia, Messene. C. 198-208 AD. Obv. M AVP ANTΩ [...], laureate, draped and cuirassed bust to right. Rev. KVΠAPICCIЄΩN, Tyche standing left, holding patera and cornucopiae. BCD Peloponnesos 799 (this coin); otherwise, unpublished.
Extremely rare. Good very fine.

Kyparissia was a small port on the west coast of Messenia with a history dating back at least to the 4th Century BC. Its only coinage was issued under the Severans.
